Moving Right Along

8.23.10

Several Stories have come to a close. Currently we're on Story 4 of the Chronicle of Thorns, entitled 'The Weakest Link', on Chapter 3: The Culling.

The Coterie has completed A Thorn In Our Side, We Aren't Little Childer Anymore and An Axe To Grind. Nicely done!

As each of the Kindred in the Coterie learns more about the true nature of the world behind the Masquerade, each is faced with new perspectives and forced to make choices, and the revelation that nothing may be exactly as it seems becomes more and more difficult to ignore.

We're in the process of compiling more lists and other handy references for the group, I will get them uploaded to the site for easier access soon.

See everyone Friday!

More Updates

4.15.10

Chapter 3 of the Chronicle is complete and another night of challenges and revelations are now under the coterie's belt.

To celebrate I did more work on this website, yay! Look for updates in all areas of the site, but the biggest change is the Ventrue Tower. You can now check out details on current quests if you need a refresher.

I'm almost finished making sections for everyone's characters, so look for good pictures and send them to me.

The Chronicle of Thorns

3.14.10

Everyone's finished the Prologues, but there will still be some players who will eventually have flashback scenes, short sessions exploring other events that took place during their time as a Fledgeling.

All the new vampires advanced to Neonate status, giving them the right to operate freely within Portland, as well as whithin the Camarilla itself. The process was not without some intrigue however, both from within the group of new vampires and from without.

The Prince made the suggestion that the new Neonates attempt to set their differences aside and take advantage of a rare opportunity to form a Coterie and gain the immediate protection of several vampires.

Prince Chavalier seems intent on making something out of this new group, and immediately handed out a task for them to accomplish for him. Look for details in the Ventrue Tower.

Prologues

2.27.10

Did touch-ups on people's characters and got most of the prologues out of the way, but we weren't able to get to a couple of people. We'll have to find time in the next couple of weeks or else make time at next NN.

I hoped on top of getting a feel for your normal Human life we'd also give everyone a chance to get a feel for how the rules work a little bit; at least a few of the players hopefully have a better idea of how it works now.

Turns out we've been using the wrong character sheets (1st Edition) which explains why the skills don't all seem to match up. I know I said it a few billion times but you can still change your character up until we start the next Story, so check to make sure the Abilities you have match what are in the book!

I'll try to post the current character sheets on here since I'm working on the site already, check the Downloads section to see if they are up yet.

Backup Data

1.31.10

Uploaded some actual content which can be found in the Download section.

Remember, this is a private site and access to our files is strictly forbidden if you do not legally own copies of each as we do.

The downloadable items on this site are purely a convenience for use by players of Splynncryth's Vampire chronicle.

To Vamp or Not to Vamp?

1.30.10

New game, new campaign, new site. Hopefully this one will be more useful to players than others I've made.

This time around we're going to probably try something a little different. Inspired by other gamers with success "co-GMing", we've decided to try running a Vampire campaign with two Game Masters, or 'Storytellers' as they are called in this.

Due to the difficulties of running a game with as many dedicated players as we have, this seems to be one interesting way to deal with the problem. The campaign, or 'Chronicle', will be the same for both Storytellers, with one working as the primary Storyteller for the Chronicle, and both of them devising adventures, characters and plotlines.

There's a lot of planning to be done to make this work right, but we think it can be done! So bear with us in these first few weeks while we put it together. Read the book. Think about what you want to make.

We'll get together on one of the next regular Nerd Nights and get the process rolling. Are you ready to die? That's usually about when this game starts :)

The Masquerade Begins

1.30.10

Well we've put it to a vote and it seems most are in favor of trying a new game. Well, new to us.

We're going to try and see if we can run a game of Vampire - The Masquerade. The old one. No, the other old one. Second Edition, "Revised".

Some have also referred to this as the 3rd Edition. I know a bit about the game and world from this version, and from what I can tell looks to have a lot more interesting story and rules than the newest version, Vampire - The Requiem.

We'll see!
